Researching about our music video's genre
We want to create a performance mix with a narrative kind of video. That's why we want to find a song with a margin of creativity and a story narrative.
I heard multiple songs to find one with a catchy music composition where through editing we could create a good performance video over it.
Cradles I really like this video's beat and the performance of the main character.
No body, no crime ; This song has a story in itself and we planned to create a 3 character story. One girl Este, her friend ( the main character), and Este's husband. The story is cheating of Este's husband which leads to her murder, which is further investigated by Este's friend ( a detective). It would create a spectacular story but the performance factor would be ignored if we will solely focus on the narrative, so we need to find a song where we can implement both.
Look what you made me do ; This can be a both mix of performance and story, as our main character- a girl who got played by a boy- is going to spy on her enemy( the guy), to avenge how he ridiculed her in love. It would be a cool video but we don't want the cast burden this time, as last year there were 2 actors making it very difficult for us to align both of their schedules together for shooting. We would like to have to have just 1 actor/actress this time.
Aiman also suggested a few cool songs;
Mad World is a song that has very deep lyrics, and she pointed out we can take out a lot of meaning and film a creative, aesthetic video.
Zombie is a song for which Aiman suggested we can show a guy coming back to his worn-torn country after everything has been destroyed. I also liked the idea a lot, but found it kind of impractical, as from where we will be going to find such destroyed places.
Snap Out of It ,The idea of kleptomania would be amazing for this video, aiman had this great idea. I liked this idea a lot. Plus the catchy beat of the song would allow us to film great performance scenes too.
